Today is a very special day for the Sussex family. In case you haven’t taken a gander at Meghan Markle‘s Instagram page today, then you may need a reminder: it’s Princess Lilibet Diana’s birthday! Not only did she and proud papa Prince Harry share birthday tributes to their daughter, but Meghan posted a video that has the internet talking. While some may call it cringey, we think it’s so dang adorable; and it gives fans a super-rare glimpse into an intimate moment of their lives.
On June 4, Meghan shared a video on her Instagram with the caption reading, “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do! 😂”

In the video, we see Meghan and Harry dancing to the 2021 song called “Baby Mama Dance” by Mic Drop Mama.
Meghan drops it low, singing along to it while Harry shimmies along with her. It’s such a sweet, intimate moment that shows how even in high stress situations, they find a way to laugh together.
While some outlets and fans are calling it “cringey,” we say: who cares? To be cringe is to be free, friends. Harry and Meghan clearly have so much love for one another, and this video proves that once again amid divorce rumors.
For those who don’t know, Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016, and by April 2018, they were married in a beautiful royal ceremony. Since then, they’ve welcomed two children together, named Prince Archie, born in May 2019, and Princess Lilibet Diana, born in June 2021.
And speaking of Lilibet, for her birthday, Meghan shared two posts for her, saying, “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”
An hour later, she shared photos of Lilibet and Harry, saying, “The sweetest bond to watch unfold 💕 Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!”
In a previous interview with People, Meghan talked about her daughter, and how she hopes she’s inspired by the legacy she leaves behind.
“Being able to have my own little girl, as I’ve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women, and to be able to see this as a multigenerational story — Archie is of course included in that, my husband is of course included in that — but I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it’s like to be a working mom,” she said. “This is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too.”
