15 Celebrities Who Have Been Married 4 or More Times

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez is the latest addition to the four marriages list.

Lopez first got married in 1998 to actor Ojani Noa. The two were married for 11 months before calling it off. 

She then married backup dancer Cris Judd in 2001, but divorced two years later in 2003. 

In 2004, she began her longest marriage to date by marrying latin singer Marc Anthony. The two were married for ten years and welcomed two children, twins Emme and Max, in 2008. The two split in 2014. 

Fast-forward a few years, Lopez rekindled her romance with Oscar winner Ben Affleck in 2021. The two, who had been engaged back in 2002, finally walked down the aisle. They got married for the first time at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, and then celebrated their nuptials for a second time on August 20 in a grand Atlanta wedding. 

On August 20, 2024, however, aka what would’ve been Lopez and Affleck’s two-year anniversary of their Atlanta wedding, Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles. The listed date of separation is months prior on April 26, 2024. 

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson is another major star who’s walked down the aisle a few times.

She first famously said “I do” to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in February 1995. They eloped in Cancún, Mexico, after only knowing each other for 96 hours.

During their marriage, they welcomed their first son, Brandon, in 1996, and their second son, Dylan, in 1997.

In 1998, Anderson and Lee split following Lee’s arrest for spousal battery. He was arrested and sentenced to six months in jail. 

A few years later, Anderson married another musician, Kid Rock, in 2002. The two were married for only a year before calling it quits.

In 2007, Anderson married poker player Rick Salomon. They got married in October 2007 before splitting just a few months later in December of that same year.

In 2013, they rekindled their relationship and got married a second time in January 2014. Sadly, their second time around also didn’t last much longer. She filed for divorce in July. 

In 2020, it was reported that Anderson had married for a fifth time with movie producer Jon Peters. Per the reports, the pair had split 12 days after getting hitched. However, according to Anderson herself, it was all false. 

“It was just a funny moment,” Anderson told The Hollywood Reporter. “But I never married Jon. It was never a marriage, but we were just laughing about that.”

Lastly, Anderson married bodyguard Dan Hayhurst in December 2020. The two split by January 2022. 

Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage has also gotten married a few times over the years. In 1995, he became a husband for the first time after tying the knot with actress Patricia Arquette. The pair was married for six years before splitting in 2001. 

After that, he married another celebrity, the late Lisa Marie Presley. The two got married in August 2002 at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows resort in Hawaii. Sadly, after just a few months together, Cage filed for divorce in November of that same year.

In 2004, Cage then tied the knot with Alice Kim. The two were together for 12 years and welcomed their son, Kal-El, during their marriage. The went their separate ways in 2016. 

In 2019, Cage was in his shortest marriage to date with make-up artist Erika Koike. The two eloped in Las Vegas but Cage asked for an annulment just four days later. 

A couple of years later, Cage revealed he secretly married his wife, Riko Shibata, in March 2021. The two welcomed their daughter, August Francesca, in September 2022. 

Lisa Marie Presley

Speaking of Cage, his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, who passed away in 2023, also got married multiple times. 

Before her marriage to Cage, Presley married musician Danny Keough in 1988. They welcomed their daughter, Riley, in 1989 and their son, Benjamin, in 1992. In 1994, however, Presley filed for divorce after six years of marriage. 

Later that same year, Presley married the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The two had a highly publicized marriage, including their notorious kiss during the MTV Video Music Awards, from 1994 to 1996. 

Presley’s third marriage came around in 1999 when she tied the knot to singer-songwriter John Oszajca. They were together for only 16 months before calling it quits. 

After that, Presley married Cage for a few months in 2002. Their divorce was finalized by 2004. 

Presley’s last marriage was with musician Michael Lockwood. The pair started dating in 2003 and got married three years later in 2006. During their marriage, they welcomed their daughters, Harper Vivienne Anne and Finley Aaron Love, in October 2008. In July 2016, Presley filed for divorce after a decade together. Their split was finalized by 2021. 

Billy Bob Thornton

Billy Bob Thornton has been in the public eye for many years, but he was married a few times before even hitting the spotlight.

His first marriage, to Melissa Lee Gatlin, only lasted two years from 1978 to 1980. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Amanda, in 1979. 

Another brief marriage happened shortly after when Thornton tied the knot with Toni Lawrence in 1986. They went their separate ways a year into the marriage and their divorce was settled in 1988. 

In 1990, Thornton married actress Cynda Williams. By 1992, they had also called it quits. 

Thorton’s fourth marriage was with former Playboy model Pietra Dawn Cherniak. They were married from 1993 to 1997 and welcomed sons William and Harry in 1993.

The actor’s most publicized marriage was with actress Angelina Jolie. The pair eloped in Las Vegas in 2001 and shocked the world during their relationship because of their mind-boggling 20-year age gap and the rumors they were wearing necklaces filled with each other’s blood. In 2002, they began the process of adopting son Maddox but separated before it was finalized. Jolie completed the process on her own. 

Thorton’s last marriage has been with actress Connie Angland. The two met in 2002, welcomed their daughter Bella in 2004 but didn’t tie the knot until 2014. They’ve been happily married ever since. 

Gary Oldman

Gary Oldman has been married so many times, you might’ve forgotten some of the A-listers he once called “wife.” 

First off, Oldman was married to actress Lesley Manville from 1987 to 1990. Together, they welcomed their son, Alfie. 

Oldman’s second A-list marriage was with actress Uma Thurman in 1990. They were together for two years before their divorce in 1992. 

Five years later, Oldman married American model Donya Fiorentino in 1997. Together, they had son Gulliver in 1997 and Charlie in 1999. They split in 2001. 

Oldman’s fourth marriage was with English singer and actress Alexandra Edenborough. They got married in 2008 and were together for seven years before she filed for divorce in 2015. 

Lastly, Oldman married writer and art curator Gisele Schmidt in a private ceremony in August 2017.

David Foster

While David Foster’s marriage with Katherine McPhee is very much in the spotlight, Foster has had many private marriages and divorces in the past. 

Foster’s first marriage began in 1972 when he tied the knot with B.J. Cook. The two were married for nine years before their split in 1981. They welcomed their daughter Amy in 1973. 

In 1982, Foster married his second wife, Rebecca Dyer. The two were only together for four years but welcomed three kids together: daughters Erin and Sarah and son Jordan. 

Fast-forward to 1991, Foster walked down the aisle once again to singer and actress Linda Thompson. During their marriage, he became a stepdad to Brody and Brandon, Thompson’s two kids with her ex Caitlyn Jenner. Foster and Thompson were together for many years until 2005.

Geena Davis has been married and divorced four times, with each union lasting more and more each time. 

Davis’ first marriage was to restaurateur Richard Emmolo. The two were married for one year from 1982 to 1983.

After that, Davis married her Transylvania 6-5000 co-star Jeff Goldblum. They got married in 1987 but split three years later on good terms in 1990. 

Her next marriage was with director Renny Harlin from 1993 to 1998. Their marriage ended because Harlin had a child with his personal assistant. 

Davis’ last marriage was with plastic surgeon Reza Jarrahy. They tied the knot in 2001 and welcomed three kids together: daughter Alizeh (born in 2002) and twin sons Kaiis and Kian (born in 2004). Melanie Griffith is another celebrity who’s notoriously taken a few chances at love.

Her first husband was actor Don Johnson. The pair tied the knot in 1976 but got divorced almost six months later. Over ten years later, however, Griffith and Johnson married again in 1989 and were together for much longer until 1996. Together, they welcomed daughter and fellow actor Dakota Johnson. 

In between her marriages to Johnson, Griffin married actor Steven Bauer. They were married from 1981 to 1989 and had a son, Alexander, in 1985. 

Lastly, Griffith married Spanish actor Antonio Banderas in 1996. They welcomed their daughter Stella that same year but sadly called it quits a few years later in 2014. Their divorce was finalized by 2015. 

Billy Joel

Singer Billy Joel has married four times over the years.

His first marriage was to business manager Elizabeth Weber. The couple was married from 1973 to 1982.

Shortly after their divorce, Joel met supermodel Christie Brinkly. The former couple was together from 1985 to 1994 and welcomed one daughter together, Alexis, also in 1985. 

Joel’s next marriage was to chef Katie Lee in 2004. Six years into their marriage, they split in 2010.

Lastly, Joel married his current wife Alexis Roderick in 2015. They’ve since welcomed two daughters, Della Rose and Remy Anne, together. 

Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley, much like her ex Joel, also walked down the aisle a few times. 

Her first marriage was to architect Jean-François Allaux between 1973 and 1981. 

She then married Joel for nine years and welcomed her first daughter, Alexis. 

Shortly after their split, Brinkly married real estate developer Richard Taubman. They were together for one year until their split in 1995. They welcomed a son, Jack, in 1995. 

Brinkley’s last marriage was to architect Peter Cook in 1996. During their marriage, they welcomed their daughter, Sailor and Cook adopted Jack as his own. The pair got divorced in 2008. 

Elizabeth Taylor

Perhaps one of the Hollywood stars most known for her many marriages is Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor. She was married eight times throughout her life to seven different men. 

Her first marriage was at just 18 years old to hotel heir Conrad Hilton, Jr. in 1950. Eight months later, however, they had already called it quits. 

Her next wedding was to actor Michael Wilding in 1952. Four years into their marriage, they separated and their divorce was finalized by 1957. Together, they welcomed sons Michael (born in 1953) and Christopher (born in 1955). 

Next, Taylor married theater producer Mike Todd in 1957. Sadly, Todd tragically died in a plane crash in 1958. Before his death, they became parents to daughter Elizabeth “Liza” Todd in 1957. 

By 1959, Taylor’s affair with Eddie Fisher took over headlines in Hollywood. They tied the knot in 1959 and were married until their divorce in 1964. 

Notoriously 10 days after her divorce from Fisher, Taylor tied the knot with actor Richard Burton. They divorced for the first time 10 years later in 1974 and later remarried in 1975. They split for a final time in 1976.

She then married former U.S. senator John Warner in 1976. They were married for six years until their divorce in 1982.

Lastly, Taylor married her eighth and final husband, Larry Fortensky, in 1991. They divorced five years later in 1996. 

Joan Collins

It might have taken a few tries, but Joan Collins found her match eventually. 

The Hollywood icon first got married in 1952 to actor Maxwell Reed. They were married for a few years until their divorce in 1956. 

In 1963, she married singer and actor Anthony Newley. They split in 1971. Together, they welcomed a daughter, Tara, in 1963, and a son, Alexander, in 1965.

A year later, Collins married her third husband Ron Kass in 1972. They were together for over a decade up to their split in 1983. They had one daughter together named Katyana, she was born in 1972. 

Collins then had a brief marriage to Swedish singer Peter Holm in 1985, and the pair divorced in 1987.

Lastly, in February 2002, she married her fifth and current husband, Percy Gibson. They’ve been happily married ever since. 

Larry King

Throughout his life, the late Larry King got married eight times to seven different women. 

His first marriage was with his high school sweetheart Freda Miller in 1952. At the time, their parents disapproved and their marriage and so it was annulled shortly after. 

In 1961, he got married again to Annette Kaye. They were married for less than one year before heading to divorce. 

Also in 1961, King married Alene Akins. The pair got divorced two years later in 1963.

In 1964, he tied the knot with Mickey Sutphin. Sadly, they were also together briefly and split in 1967.

In 1968, he remarried Akins, but they split once again in 1976. 

King also married Sharon Lepore from 1976 to 1983.

In 1989, King married Julie Alexander. They ended up separating in 1990 and divorcing by 1992.

King’s last relationship was with Shawn Southwick. They tied the knot in 1997 but King filed for divorce in 2019. They were undergoing divorce proceedings when King passed away. 

Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra is another legendary star who walked down the aisle a few times. 

His first marriage was to his childhood sweetheart, Nancy Barbato. They were married from 1939 to 1951 and welcomed three children together: Nancy (born in 1940) and Tina (born in 1948) and son Frank Jr. (born in 1944).

Sinatra then also married actress Ava Gardner in 1951, divorcing six years later.

By 1966, he married fellow actress Mia Farrow. They divorced two years later in 1968. 

Sinatra’s last marriage was to Barbara Marx in 1976. They were together until his death in 1998.
