Shemar Moore has been on Cloud 9 since the news broke that he was going to be a first-time dad in his 50s, and since then, he’s been reminding fans time and time again that being a dad is his favorite role ever.
For those who don’t know, Moore and ex-girlfriend Jesiree Dizon announced in early Jan 2023 that they were expecting their first child together. Mere weeks later, they welcomed their daughter Frankie into the world on Jan 24, 2023, breaking up approximately two years later. Still, they continue to melt our hearts with every sweet update on their daughter. (Dizon also has two children from previous relationships: a son named Kaiden and a daughter named Charli.)
Since becoming a first-time dad at 52 years old, Moore has been taking fans along the ride for all the firsts with his daughter Frankie: her first Halloween, her first word, her first birthday, and more. And he’s not stopping there! From sweet holiday posts to hilarious videos showing off her dance moves, Moore is showing everyone how happy he is to be Frankie’s dad!

Adjusting to Co-Parenting (2025)

“We gonna love each other, and we gonna love the hell out of our daughter, Frankie,” Moore said in a statement. “She’s a phenomenal mother, phenomenal mother. I’m so grateful that our girl Frankie gets to call Jesiree mom. Jesiree loves [her three kids]. When I’m not able to be there because of work or whatever, I know our daughter is in good hands.”
Moore said the duo will continue to handle “ballet, soccer, basketball, Disneyland, water park, whatever” as a family. “It’s not about anything but the children,” he explained.
“Frankie’s got the two dopest people, as parents,” More added. ” … We just gonna live life a little differently.”

Painting Frankie (2025)
Image Credit: Max Parker/Everett Collection Moore created a beautiful tribute to fatherhood and his daughter when he commissioned a massive painting of one of her baby pictures. “Larger Than Life Paintings… Go big or go home 🔥🔥,” he captioned a photo of the paintings, one of which looks to be around 8 feet long.
The paintings were done by Jon Moody, whose work has been featured in the White House. Talk about the coolest home decor!

Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen how much of a lookalike she is to her parents, especially Moore.
Back in 2023, Frankie is also the master of the “mean mugging” look! He wrote, “You don’t scare me daddy!! What you looking at Hondo?! I can do what you do but better and cuter 🥰 Frankie Mean Mugging me 😠😠😂❤️.”
Along with that, everyone said Moore and Frankie looked like twins when this side-by-side photo came out.

My father wasn’t in my life… I never celebrated Father’s Day… but i realize my mother and fathers love for each other once upon a time… that created me….I celebrated and honored MY MOTHER all day everyday my entire 50 years with her… my mother’s dream was to be a grandmother.. God called her name a little too soon… but My Girl Jesiree loves on me and gave me/us Momma Marilyn’s Dream and MY LIL MIRACLE… “Frankie Moore”… my daughter… My mother was my purpose….
