Reese Witherspoon‘s 2025 book club picks are some of our favorites yet!
Since it was founded in 2017, Reese’s Book Club has been our go-to for monthly book recommendations. Filled with picks that largely center female authors and female stories, the book club has been responsible for making authors into best-sellers and even leading to some incredible screen adaptations.
Last year, Witherspoon took members on quite a ride. After starting the year off with a bang with First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston, Witherspoon continued with some fan-favorite suggestions throughout the year like Anita de Monte Laughs Last by Xochitl Gonzalez, How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang and The Cliffs by J. Courtney Sullivan, just to name a few.
With such an impressive lineup of books from last year, we’re of course paying attention to Witherspoon’s picks his year too. In January, The Morning Show star kicked things off with The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan.“She’s a literary sensation, the face behind a blockbuster film trilogy, but her life isn’t what it seems,” Witherspoon detailed about the story in her announcement. “This story swept me away with its big dreams, love, and unexpected twists.”
In February, she changed gears and recommended Isola by Allegra Goodman. The book, which follows the heroine as she’s left to fend for herself in the wilderness, is about “love, resilience, defiance,” Witherspoon said. “This is easily one of my favorite historical fiction reads yet,” she said in her announcement.
As the year rolls on, the book club picks keep on coming. Check out all her 2025 picks below!
