It’s not every day that I wake up and say, “I’m going to buy a new designer piece today.” I don’t think I’ve ever said that except for one time in my early 20s. However, today might be the day I get to say it again because Nordstrom’s Designer Clearance event is happening. Currently, the retailer has hundreds of designer items heavily marked down on their site, just waiting to be added to the cart. I’m talking big fashion house labels, like Balenciaga, Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Jacquemus, and Givenchy — I could go on and on — all up to 40% off. But if you ask me, none of those brands hold a candle to the classic styles of Burberry, which also happen to be heavily marked down this week.
While combing through the site, daydreaming about what I wanted to buy, I came across plenty of iconic pieces in Burberry’s signature check pattern that are 40% off. As a late 90s baby, there’s something so nostalgic about certain Burberry styles that I would adore having in my wardrobe. And knowing that I could get it for way under market price makes it much more enticing. For instance, in the early ’00s, all the popular or most fashionable celebs would be seen sporting a Burberry check bucket hat or galavanting in the summer sun wearing a Burberry bikini — both of which are on sale this week.
