We already knew that weddings can get pricey, with the average cost of a wedding in the US being around $33,000. But let’s talk about one major part of the wedding: the cake.
Some DIY their cakes, and some go all out with a cake. In fact, per Wedding Wire, the average for wedding cakes in the US is anywhere from $500 to $700. Now, this is already a huge number, but we need to talk about another part of wedding cakes: the celebrities who get the wildest, biggest ones out there for literally thousands of dollars.
While we’ve expected this from the multi-tiered wedding cakes from royals, so many celebrities have done the same. From having live birds in a cake to having multiple for one day, we’ve seen it all.
Below, see the wildest, most lavish celebrity (and royal) wedding cakes we’ve ever come across.

It was in four mostly deconstructed layers, and you can even recreate the recipe in Fern Verrow’s cookbook, Fern Verrow: A year of recipes from a farm and its kitchen by Jane Scotter and Harry Astley.
